Praetorian Bio CSO Dinja Oosterhoff presenting the CaviStop caries-vaccine poster at the IADR 2026 General Session, San Diego

At the IADR General Session in San Diego, our Chief Scientific Officer Dinja Oosterhoff presented the latest progress on CaviStop®, our lead candidate and a next-generation mucosal vaccine targeting dental caries. The IADR General Session brought together academic researchers, clinicians, and industry leaders from around the world, a valuable forum to share our science and exchange ideas on preventing oral disease through vaccination.

The poster, Development of a Broadly Protective Vaccine Targeting Dental Cavities, shared first proof-of-concept data for the approach. Intranasal vaccination induced strong systemic and mucosal antibody responses against Streptococcus mutans, functionally inhibited biofilm formation, and produced antibodies that cross-recognized Streptococcus sobrinus, the two main bacterial drivers of dental caries.
